The Howard University Cancer Center provides a rich environment where trainees can pursue cutting-edge cancer research, clinical training, community health promotion and professional development in an interdisciplinary environment.
Degree Students
Howard University students who are enrolled and in good standing may contact their department faculty to explore conducting cancer research as part of a for-credit scholarly activity.

Cancer Research Education Program (C-REP)
C-REP promotes careers of students rising college juniors and seniors, master's students, and health professional students (medical, pharmacy, nursing, and dental) through summer mentored cancer research experiences.
Careers MAPs
Our Career Mentoring Alliances & Pathways (MAPs) support collaborative, individualized mentoring for scholarly and professional development. Professional networks are strengthened through monthly seminars, special events, conferences. Skill building includes professional writing, CV development, scientific and lab management, networking, work and wellness, and more.
